This is a miniature whole skeleton replica of the Giant Ground Sloth (Eremotherium laurillardi) displayed in a bipedal posture.
The model recreates the characteristic upright stance that giant ground sloths may have adopted while reaching for vegetation, highlighting the impressive anatomy of one of the largest land mammals of the Pleistocene.
The replica is based on commercially available 3D data from a museum specimen and has been adapted for high-quality physical reproduction.
[Production Method]
Photopolymer resin is used as the primary material.
Each component is produced using a high-resolution stereolithography 3D printer.
After printing, the model is carefully hand-painted to resemble a natural fossil skeleton.
The layer lines typically associated with 3D printing are barely visible, resulting in a highly detailed display model.
