This is a miniature whole skeleton replica of the Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus), the largest living toothed whale and one of the deepest-diving mammals on Earth.
The model is based on commercially licensed 3D data provided by the Osaka Museum of Natural History and faithfully reproduces the distinctive skeletal anatomy of this remarkable marine mammal.

To improve durability and printability, the phalanges and support structures have been slightly reinforced while preserving the overall anatomy of the original specimen.

[Production Method]
Photopolymer resin is used as the primary material.
Each component is produced using a high-resolution stereolithography 3D printer.
After printing, the model is carefully hand-painted to resemble a natural skeletal specimen.
The layer lines typically associated with 3D printing are barely visible, resulting in a highly detailed display model.
