This is a life-size whole skeleton replica of a Japanese Giant Salamander (Andrias japonicus).
The model was created from CT scan data of an actual skeletal specimen, faithfully reproducing the anatomical structure of one of Japan's most iconic amphibians. After printing with a high-resolution stereolithography 3D printer, the replica is carefully finished and colored to resemble natural bone. The layer lines typically associated with 3D printing are kept to a minimum for a realistic appearance.

Each component is produced with a high-resolution resin 3D printer and carefully finished by hand.
The model is painted to resemble a natural skeletal specimen and prepared for long-term display.
