1/5 Scale Skeleton Replica of the West Indian Manatee (Trichechus manatus)
This is a 1/5 scale whole skeleton replica of the West Indian Manatee (Trichechus manatus), one of the world's largest herbivorous marine mammals.
The model is based on commercially licensed 3D data that has been modified for high-quality 3D printing while preserving the anatomy of the original specimen.
The original specimen is displayed in the State Museum of Nature of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine. Elements that were difficult to scan were reconstructed as part of the original digital model.

[Production Method]
Photopolymer resin is used as the primary material.
Each component is produced using a high-resolution stereolithography 3D printer.
After printing, the model is carefully hand-painted with a bone-colored finish.
The layer lines typically associated with 3D printing are barely visible, resulting in a highly detailed display model.
